Major Upgrades and Closure on Kaiser Road

bethanytimes.com >> If you drive through the Bethany area, heads up: Kaiser Road is currently closed between Springville Road and Brugger Road.

The closure is in effect from June 16 through August 16. During this time, drivers will need to use a detour via Germantown Road, 185th Avenue, and Springville Road.

What’s Changing on Kaiser Road?

Local crews are widening Kaiser Road between Springville and Brugger roads to improve safety and traffic flow. The major updates include:

  • A new center turn lane
  • Dedicated bike lanes on the street
  • Brand new standard sidewalks (including extra sidewalk space along Brugger Road)
  • Better streetlights and storm drainage systems
  • Upgraded water quality facilities
  • Wheelchair-accessible (ADA-compliant) curb ramps
  • A special midblock crossing with flashing beacons near local trails

A traffic study is also taking place during the design phase to see if an enhanced crosswalk is needed right at the intersection of Kaiser and Brugger roads.

Kaiser Road is closed between Brugger Road and Springville Road from June 16-Aug. 16. Drivers will detour to Germantown Road, 185th Avenue and Springville Road.
